When Is An MRI Requested?

MRI is often requested when other conventional imaging techniques, such as x-rays and ultrasounds, have not yielded the type of information your physician needs to complete his diagnosis.

MRI Precautions
Before your appointment, you will be contacted by a member of our staff to make sure it is safe for you to undergo the MRI procedure. You will be asked if you have a pacemaker, pacemaker wires, pumps, shunts, surgical clips, prosthesis or any other metal objects in your body.

At Your Appointment
When you arrive at the MRI center, you will be given some paperwork that needs to be completed and a copy of your insurance card will be made. You will be provided with a locker for safekeeping of your personal effects during your scan.
